Peter Buckley is a litigation partner in the Philadelphia Office of Fox Rothschild LLP, a national law firm with 27 offices coast-to-coast.
Mr. Buckley served as lead counsel on behalf of one of the funding companies active in the NFL Concussion Litigation. He was instrumental in the successful appeal of an order invalidating his client’s funding agreements and in enforcing his client’s arbitration rights. He has lectured on the topic of litigation finance at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and is involved in defending antitrust claims brought by a litigation-financed, generic pharmaceutical company.
A lawyer’s lawyer, Mr. Buckley counsels AmLaw 200 law firms on managing and avoiding risk and defends attorneys accused of malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty, and intentional misconduct. General counsel turn to Mr. Buckley for straightforward advice and creative solutions when confronted with claims or trying to avoid them. Mr. Buckley served as a member of the Hearing Committee for the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania from 2012 until 2018, and has given guest lectures on legal ethics at the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
His practice includes securities and antitrust litigation, shareholder/partnership disputes, and other facets of commercial litigation. Mr. Buckley serves on the Governing Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence Region. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Villanova University and a J.D. from Temple University, James E. Beasley School of Law.
